The Jewish holiday Hanukkah celebrates the re-dedication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem in the 2nd century B.C. Hanukkah, which means "dedication" in Hebrew, begins on the 25th of Kislev on the Hebrew calendar and usually falls in November or December. The celebration lasts for eight nights to commemorate a miracle that Jews believe occurred in the temple: When the Jews first returned to the Holy Temple after defeating Hellenist Syrians who had made it illegal for Jews to worship, they found only enough oil to light the temple's menorah for one day. Miraculously, flame remained lit for eight days and nights, giving them enough time to find more oil to sustain the fire. Often called the "Festival of Lights," Hanukkah festivities include games, gifts, eating traditional foods and lighting a new candle on the menorah each night.

100.18 - Precious Blood Missionaries

The Missionaries of the Precious Blood are a Roman Catholic community of priests and brothers founded by Saint Gaspar del Bufalo in 1815. The Missionaries of the Precious Blood is a shortened English translation of the Latin "Congregatio Missionariorum Pretiosissimi Sanguinis Domini Nostri Jesu Christi," (The Congregation of Missionaries of the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ). They use the post-nominal initials C.PP.S. after their names. They are classified as a Society of Apostolic Life in the Roman Catholic Church because its members do not take vows, but instead make promises to follow the evangelical counsels (poverty, chastity and obedience).

100.17 - Lovable SHREK

Shrek is a self-proclaimed terrifying ogre, from the computer-animated Shrek films. He is seen as large, predominantly green and physically intimidating. Shrek is also rather antisocial, initially preferring to live on his own in a little shack in the swamp.
Shrek became more of a recluse because people judged him and didn’t respect his privacy. He put up signs around his home to keep people away. However, his green and murky swamp was invaded by the other fairytale creatures who have been evicted from their own homes. Reclaiming his territory was the primary reason why he set out to rescue the Princess Fiona, who he ended up falling in love with. Along the way, Shrek formed a friendship with the ever-talkative Donkey, as well as the charming but dangerous Puss in Boots in Shrek 2. In the first film, Shrek travels to Duloc to join a tournament to rescue Fiona. After an aggressive encounter with the antagonist Lord Farquaad, Shrek and Fiona get married.

As the winner of The X Factor, Burke released her debut single, "Hallelujah", originally a Leonard Cohen song, that became the current European record holder for single sales over a period of 24 hours: selling 105,000 copies in one day; but also, the top-selling song of the year in the UK as well as becoming the 2008 Christmas number one single in the UK.
