200.15 - Praise Christian Fellowship

WHERE JESUS IS EXALTED AND LOVE IS DEMONSTRATED.....

Small Christian Church Ministries can be found all throughout America. One such Ministry is the Christian Fellowship Church right in the heart of Los Angeles, California.

The Church was founded in 1989 under the leadership and vision of their beloved Pastor Joe Danganan and his family. Two weekly Sunday Services serve the English and Philippine communities.

The Christian Praise Worship Team is a group of talented individuals who lead the membership in uplifting Worship and Praise for each Service. The Ministry is also expanded to Creative Performing Arts and a Tambourine Dance ensemble under the umbrella of Worship Ministry.

All are welcome to share in the Power and Annointing of the Holy Spirit which dwells in the atmosphere of His Praise.

200.14 - Royal Wedding - Kate & William

ROYAL WEDDING HIGHLIGHTS - April 29, 2011

A million people lined the procession route from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace, many crying with joy. Cheers went up as the couple exchanged the traditional kiss on the balcony, followed by chants of “One more kiss!” The couple waved and smiled and, to a frenzy of delight, obliged.

An estimated 2 billion people tuned into the live broadcast in what may have been the most-viewed event in history.

Earlier in the day, the queen had bestowed upon the couple their first royal wedding present: the titles of the duke and duchess of Cambridge.

Many praised the couple’s rare combination of humility, humor and grace. Kate was a commoner from a wealthy but middle-class family who actually worked for a living after university; William has long had his mother’s touch in connecting to the public, and surprised fans who slept on the pavement overnight by personally thanking them Thursday for braving the cold.

200.13 - Easter Sunday

On Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate the resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ. It is typically the most well-attended Sunday service of the year for Christian churches.

Christians believe, according to Scripture, that Jesus came back to life, or was raised from the dead, three days after his death on the cross. As part of the Easter season, the death of Jesus Christ by crucifixion is commemorated on Good Friday, always the Friday just before Easter. Through his death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all who believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus.

200.12 - Cathedral of The Most Precious Blood

WESTMINSTER CATHEDRAL -

With the laying of the foundation stone in June 1895, the Cathedral was dedicated to The Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, to his Blessed Mother, his Foster Father St Joseph and St Peter, his Vicar. There are secondary patrons, also: St Augustine and all British saints, St Patrick and all saints of Ireland. These dedications provide a meditation in themselves and are reflected in features of the Cathedral such as the pelican feeding her young with the blood of her own body (an ancient symbol of Christ selflessly nourishing redeemed humanity), the great crucifix that hangs between the nave and the sanctuary, and the side chapels, many of which honour patron saints.

200.11 - St. Patrick's Day

In Ireland, St. Patrick's Day is both a national and religious holiday. Stores and offices are closed, but restaurants remain open. Many people attend church and offer special prayers. The holiday falls during Lent, a period when eating meat is forbidden, but the ban is lifted on St. Patrick's Day and families enjoy special meals with traditional Irish food.

200.10 - Lenten Season

Many Christians throughout the world observe Lent. Catholic, Orthodox, and many Protestants look forward to this annual time of sacrifice and simplicity.

The purpose of Lent is to be a season of fasting, self-denial, Christian growth, penitence, conversion, and simplicity. Lent, which comes from the Teutonic (Germanic) word for springtime, can be viewed as a spiritual spring cleaning: a time for taking spiritual inventory and then cleaning out those things which hinder our corporate and personal relationships with Jesus Christ and our service to him. Thus it is fitting that the season of Lent begin with a symbol of repentance: placing ashes mixed with oil on one's head or forehead. However, we must remember that our Lenten disciplines are supposed to ultimately transform our entire person: body, soul, and spirit. Our Lenten disciplines are supposed to help us become more like Christ.

Saint Joseph's College is a coeducational, private, Catholic liberal arts college located in Rensselaer, Indiana. It was founded in 1889 by the Missionaries of the Precious Blood (C.PP.S.). Approximately 1,000 students currently attend the College.

The school is known for its groundbreaking, and nationally recognized, Core Program. Students learn the basics of history, political science, natural science, literature, and philosophy in integrated "core classes."

The campus has several distinctive features. The Romanesque-style Chapel and the reflecting pond in front of the Chapel are the most recognized features of campus.

Drexel Hall was one of the first buildings on campus, and is distinctive for its unique atrium. Drexel has been renovated and restored to its historical appearance. The campus also includes a private recreational lake which is an old stone quarry.

200.06 - Super Bowl Sunday - 2011

When the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers take the field in North Texas next weekend, it will be a meeting of two of the most successful franchises in the history of the NFL.

The Packers have won 12 championships in their history, dating back to the pre-Super Bowl era. That’s the most in NFL history by three (Chicago Bears, nine). Meanwhile, no team has won more Super Bowls than the Steelers. Each one of their six championships have come in the Super Bowl era. Pittsburgh’s six titles put them 4th on the “most championships” list.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Green Bay Packers

Super Bowl 2011 kickoff (Super Bowl XLV) will probably occur a little after 6:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on February 6, 2011.

200.03 - Beauty In Brokenness

Brokenness is not a condition we usually desire. We typically associate brokenness with weakness, being incomplete, or something is out of order. We don't strive to be broken. We don't pursue brokenness like we would wealth or fame or love. Yet, we are all broken. We are all weak, imperfect and in need, regardless of economic position or social status. Brokenness is the common denominator in all of humanity. We all come up short of perfection or wholeness. But no one seems to admit their brokenness. This is truly sad because I see such beauty in our brokenness.

200.02 - Vietnam - The Moving Wall

"The Moving Wall" is the half-size replica of the Washington, DC Vietnam Veterans Memorial and has been touring the country for more than twenty years. When John Devitt attended the 1982 dedication in Washington, he felt the positive power of "The Wall." He vowed to share that experience with those who did not have the opportunity to go to Washington.

John, Norris Shears, Gerry Haver, and other Vietnam veteran volunteers built The Moving Wall. It went on display for the first time in Tyler, Texas in October of 1984. Two structures of The Moving Wall now travel the USA from April through November, spending about a week at each site.
